I don't know why I didn't write this before, but for some reason tonite, I remembered it.
My mother started watching All My Children when I was born. And she watched up until she pasted away in Aug. 2007.
Fast forward to 1996, San Diego Comic Con. I was there on Star Wars day, which is always a Friday. I read somewhere (I don't remember where though, but I'm guessing a message board on AOL) that Richard Hatch was to be at Comic Con. Now, I loved Battlestar Galactica ever since I saw it the first time on Sept. 17th, 1978. My favorite character was Starbuck, and the reason why I have a weakness for blond men (my husband Rick is a blond). But that day at Comic Con, I got to meet Richard Hatch. I think I spent most of the day around his booth and some of the exhibits of Battlestar Galactica items, including a helm. I even took some pictures. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't develop. But when I told my mother that I met Richard Hatch, she said very loudly, "You met Richard Hatch??" Then she started talking about All My Children and Richard's character on the show. If you asked her, I bet she could name all of the characters that have ever been on the show. LOL.
I just thought I should say that if it wasn't for my mom being a Richard Hatch fan back in 1978, I never would've been a Battlestar Galactica fan. Thanks, mom.
